We are delighted to announce we will be attending the Gulfood Manufacturing show from 7 to 9 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Gulfood Manufacturing is the largest and most influential trade show for the food processing and manufacturing sector in the MENASA region.

​

Mekz received a very generous donation of football kits and boots from Helensburgh Football Club, Scotland. 

​

With the help of our contacts, the football kits will be shipped and distributed to local schools in Sierra Leone,  bringing so much joy and happiness to many.

It has been an incredibly tough year for many with an ever-increasing number of people unable to afford the food they need to feed their families and themselves. So this year, we have donated to FareShare UK.

​

FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. Together, they take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community groups.

​

The food they redistribute reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week FareShare provide enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people.

Mekz featured in the Personal Care Global Magazine – July issue (click on cover image to open the magazine) which features the Africa Focus piece. It's a double page spread across pages 32-33. 

 

In the article, we discuss how the beauty and personal care market size in Africa has the potential to grow by a projected $1.26 billion during 2021-2025. With this new partnership, we can make the business creation process easy for all entrepreneurs wishing to create their brand of cosmetic products in Africa. Manufacturers simply choose the desired fragrance and colour to create a unique and personalised brand.

We recently sponsored new kit for a local football team, The Raptors who play for Yateley FC Youth Team. As you can see the team look very smart and we wish you all the best for the new season!

 

The Raptors have kindly agreed to donate all of their kit after use and any other additional kit they may no longer need. With the help of our contacts, the donated kit will be distributed to local schools in Sierra Leone to children and teenagers who are less fortunate.

With the help of our contacts in Senegal, we were involved in a project to send various stationary products to help support a school.

 

As well as supplying school equipment such as paper, pens, ink cartridges etc. We also supplied each of the 400 pupils with a personalised Mekz pencil case.

 

We will continue to look at ways to support this school, and any other similar projects in other countries!
